The Food Bank is a non-profit association created in 2002. Its top priority is the recovery of food and the re-distribution to partner associations. The Food Bank builds a link between a variety of donors (individuals and food industry) and partner charitable organizations and social protections agencies.
The basic idea is to free associations from the task of finding food supplies thus enabling them to devote their time to their primary mission of education and social reintegration.
The food bank acts as a logistic interface between the economic network and that of charitable organizations. It uses food aid as a lever to enhance social reinsertion and to fight against exclusion.
